It was interesting to read about the guard of the unknown soldier’s grave in Washington, D.C. Can you tell us more about the hours of the guard? What do they do for inclement weather and at night?

According to the Arlington National Cemetery website, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is guarded by Tomb Guard sentinels 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and in any weather. The sentinels, all volunteers, are considered to be the best of the elite 3rd U.S. Infantry (The Old Guard), which is the Army’s official ceremonial unit and escort to the president.
