What’s going on with the sound at Sunflower Cable? It’s moderate on one channel and it will blow me out of the room on another channel. I thought all of the channels were supposed to be kept at a certain level.
“There are several variables which may have a bearing on the audio levels channel to channel,” said Dave Severance, Sunflower Broadband engineer. He said all the channels are received at different volume levels. In addition, the audio levels can change from program-to-program on the same channel. And, it also depends whether the subscriber receives an analog or a digital signal. “Our goal is to maintain a consistent level with our programming” on Channel 6, Severance said.
