The paper mentioned the three assistant principals who have to return to teaching positions for part of their employment. Did they have a reduction in salary or benefits? If not, how did the Lawrence school district save money?

Chief operations officer Frank Harwood said reassigning three assistant principals to part-time teaching roles “does result in salary reductions and decreases the district’s overall cost of secondary building administration.” He said benefits for full-time teachers and administrators are identical, meaning the change does not decrease their benefits.
