Chief academic officer Kim Bodensteiner said secondary principals gathered input from junior high and high school staff members about potential benefits, concerns and questions regarding school reconfiguration during meetings earlier this year. She said Superintendent Rick Doll also visited every school faculty and site council. Bodensteiner said administrators conducted the survey of sixth-grade teachers — a majority of whom supported the move — after participants in community forums asked what teachers thought about the change.
