What’s causing all the strong storms we’ve been having lately? They don’t seem to be associated with any cold fronts.

Matt Elwell, 6News chief meteorologist, said, “The storms over the last week actually have been associated with a weak stationary front that had been more or less stalled just to our north. The kicker is the amount of moisture feeding these storms has been abundant and any weak impulse riding along that front has been enough to fire heavy thunderstorms and move them our way.”
