In Burcham Park, there are three statues. The statue in the center is a two-sided person. The other statues are a buffalo and a deer. What’s their significance?

All three statues are by local sculptor Elden Tefft. The center statue is named “Keepers of the Universe” and was installed in 1988. According to Tefft, this statue is meant to represent humanity. The other two statues of the buffalo and the deer are meant to represent Kansas.
