The city owns an empty lot next to mine. The sidewalk there is never shoveled unless a neighbor or myself do it. Can the city fine themselves?
The city recommends residents call the code enforcement division to report city-owned properties that have not been cleared. Since the first snowfall on Christmas Eve, the city has dedicated extensive employee resources toward clearing the areas for which the city is responsible, said Megan Gilliland, the city’s communications coordinator. To report a city-owned sidewalk that has not been cleared, Gilliland said people can call the city’s code enforcement division at 832-7700.
