I see where the Lawrence Community Shelter is proposing to move to a site near the Douglas County Jail. I don’t understand how this will work since many of the homeless eat at LINK, which is still in downtown. How will the food needs of the homeless be met?

Loring Henderson, director of the Lawrence Community Shelter, said the new shelter would have a dining room that would serve three meals per day. He said that will eliminate the need for the homeless to routinely eat at LINK’s soup kitchen.
