I thought I read recently where there are many homes in the Oread Neighborhood where four unrelated people can live in a house. I thought there was a city law that said only three unrelated people can live in a house. What’s going on?
According to city code, no more than three unrelated people can live in a home in a neighborhood that is zoned single-family. Much of Oread, however, is zoned multi-family, which allows up to four unrelated people to live in a home. If a house in a multi-family district receives a city designation as a boarding house, more than four unrelated people can live in the home.
