I’d like to volunteer to help people by shoveling snow from their sidewalks this winter. But I don’t know who to get in touch with.
For several years, the city has partnered with Douglas County Senior Services to match residents needing assistance with snow removal and volunteers. Volunteers are asked to commit to the entire winter and visit his or her matched home each time snow falls. Volunteers can sign up by calling 832-3338 or register online at lawrenceks.org.
