I have a bag of aluminum tabs. Is there a place that accepts them?

In Lawrence, aluminum cans and tabs may be recycled at these recycling centers: 12th & Haskell Bargain Center, 1146 Haskell Ave.; Lonnie’s Recycling, 501 Maple St.; and Walmart Community Recycling Center, 3300 Iowa. Megan Gilliland, the city’s communications manager, said curbside recycling service providers in Lawrence also will collect and recycle aluminum cans and tabs. In addition, Cans for the Community, a nonprofit organization, recycles aluminum cans and tabs and donates 100 percent of the recycling proceeds to other nonprofit organizations in Douglas County. Drop-off recycling bins for aluminum are located throughout town. To find the recycling bin nearest you, visit cansforthecommunity.org. Aluminum can tabs can also be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Topeka or Kansas City. Visit rmhc.org for more details.
