Are there city regulations governing how tall shrubs or bushes can be that are planted next to a street corner?

Lawrence’s codes enforcement office advises that plantings in the area from 50 feet from either corner where the curb lines intersect and an imaginary line between the two points cannot be allowed to grow taller than 36 inches. The ordinance is designed to prevent tall plantings from blocking the sight of traffic at the intersection.
