Can you tell me how the virtual school operates?
“The Lawrence Virtual School began enrolling students in July of 2004. Located at the Centennial Learning Center, 2145 La., LVS expands the definition of public school choice. LVS combines the flexibility and parental instruction of home education with the guidance, support and accountability of certified teachers and a high-quality, standards- and Web-based curriculum. This year, 1,079 students in grades K-8 from across the state of Kansas are enrolled at the Lawrence Virtual School,” said Julie Boyle, the school district’s director of communications.
