How can someone apply to be a volunteer for the Citizen Review Board of Douglas County District Court?

An application is available online at douglas-county.com under the district court tab. All prospective volunteers must be permanent residents of Douglas County. Potential volunteers must submit a written application and then go through a screening procedure before they can be accepted for training. All volunteers must complete the training requirements set forth by the Kansas Supreme Court. Board volunteers review child-in-need-of-care cases and juvenile offender cases and report back to the presiding judge. Volunteers are also needed to help with office tasks. More information is also available by calling 832-5219.
