How can someone apply to be a volunteer for the Citizen Review Board of Douglas County District Court?

An application is available online at under the district court tab. All prospective volunteers must be permanent residents of Douglas County. Potential volunteers must submit a written application and then go through a screening procedure before they can be accepted for training. All volunteers must complete the training requirements set forth by the Kansas Supreme Court. Board volunteers review child-in-need-of-care cases and juvenile offender cases and report back to the presiding judge. Volunteers are also needed to help with office tasks.
