I read the story about the Lawrence Municipal Airport possibly becoming the site of a new jet helicopter business. I assume the company will buy the jet fuel at the Lawrence airport. Since the airport is owned by the city but operated by a private company, does the city get to keep a portion of the fuel sales revenue.

Yes. Lloyd Hetrick, president of the private company that operates the airport, said the city gets a 5 cent per gallon “flowage fee” for every gallon of jet fuel sold at the airport.
