How come Free State High School has its baseball field lights on during football games?
“We chose to turn the baseball lights on to provide lighting for our sidewalks behind the new athletics building,” said Mike Hill, Free State athletic director. “Without the baseball lights, the area south of the building is very dark. Due to the large number of people walking through there, we believed it was a safety issue. The baseball lighting did a good job of illuminating the area of concern. We hope to have a permanent solution for next year.”
