I remember reading that the city auditor was conducting an audit of the Lawrence Police Department. Whatever happened to that?
City Auditor Michael Eglinski said work on the audit is still ongoing. He expects to present the audit to commissioners by the end of the year. He said the audit is reviewing the administrative functions of the police department, and will identify topics that could be the subject of future audits.
