Who picks up the clothing and shoes in the yellow Planet Aid boxes around town and where do the items go?

Drivers from Planet Aid pick up the clothing and shoes dropped off in Lawrence. Planet Aid is a nonprofit organization located in 11 metropolitan areas in the United States. The clothing is sold to wholesalers, according to Lawrence Munthali with the Kansas City branch. The profits are then used to support programs in Asia and Africa that focus on schooling orphans, teaching families about health and hygiene, and building food security and economic activities.
