Sound Off

I’ve noticed in recent months that about one in three cars with fog lights has those on all of the time. Are there any laws dictating when you can use those fog lights? Do they have to be turned off during normal driving conditions?

“There’s nothing that prohibits them from being on,” said Edna Buttler, Kansas Highway Patrol spokeswoman. According to state law, only four headlights and fog lights can be on at the same time. Some vehicles may be equipped with more than four lights.
