I want to find out what homes in my area are selling for. There used to be a list of neighborhood home sales on my property valuation notice, but that stopped a few years ago. Is there anywhere on the Douglas County Web site to find that out?
Sort of. Go to www.douglas-county.com and in the top left-hand corner, under “Most Popular,” you’ll find a link to Online Values and Taxes. Click there, agree to the terms of service and from there you can search by any address or part of address. If you search by a street name, you’ll find all the values for houses on that street. Specific sale prices, however, aren’t available via the county’s Web site.
