Will there be City Band concerts this year?
“As of right now, the plans are for the summer band concerts to continue this summer on their regular schedule,” said Robert Foster, the band’s director. “The first concert is the last Wednesday in May (May 27), and they run for eight consecutive Wednesdays. Of course, this could change, but for right now we think the concerts this summer will be presented as scheduled.” The city’s budget situation had threatened to end the summer program. Concerts start at 8 p.m. in South Park.
