Since leaving Boeing for Ford, does Alan Mulally still sign his name with a drawing of an airplane?
Yes. Mulally, CEO of Ford Motor Co., says he’s given up trying to come up with a car to replace the smiling airplane that he’s been attaching to his signature for years. The plane signature took off while Mulally worked for decades as an engineer and, eventually, as CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. He left for Ford in 2006. The plane stays, Mulally said last week during a visit to Kansas University, because Ford is “flying high.”
