What happened to the “Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane” picture that used to be in Danforth Chapel? A call was made over a year ago about the picture. The response was it was being cleaned and would be re-hung. But it’s still not there.

“The painting is in a secure location but has yet to be restored,” Kansas University spokeswoman Jill Jess said. “It is a reproduction, not an original, and is very fragile. Restoration will be challenging, and no decision has been made on how to proceed. Additionally, the wall upon which the painting hung was removed during the expansion and restoration of Danforth Chapel. A new spot in Danforth for the painting, which is very large, has not been selected.”
