If you are going north/south on Monterey Way at the roundabout to Harvard, shouldn’t you signal since you’re turning off a through street onto a side street?

“It’s a good practice to always signal your intentions when turning,” said David Woosley, the city’s traffic engineer. There’s really no reason to signal when entering the roundabout, he said, because it’s “pretty obvious” you’ll be going to the right. Other drivers can understand that. “But when you’re exiting, it’s not always clear,” Woosley said. “It’s always a good practice to signal when you’re exiting, so they know your intentions.”
