When will the left-turn signals on South Iowa be fixed so they will stop blinking?
Actually, the signals aren't broken. "The flashing left-turn arrow indicates to motorists wanting to make a left turn that they may do so after yielding to any oncoming traffic or pedestrians," said David Woosley, the city's traffic engineer. "It is similar to making a left turn when the traffic signal is displaying a green 'ball,' but is intended to emphasize to the motorist that they must use caution when making the turn.
