How much money does the city expect to collect and spend at the city-owned Eagle Bend golf course?
For 2009, the city expects to collect $980,500 in fees from golfers, according to the city’s budget. Budgeted expenses for the golf course in 2009 total $1.11 million, although $200,000 is for a contingency fund to cover unforeseen expenses. The budget for the golf course, however, does not include the debt payments that the golf course is responsible for. Those total about $300,000 per year and run through 2016, city leaders previously have said. Those payments are made from a separate city fund supported by city sales tax revenue.
