Do state legislators still get free Kansas University basketball tickets?
Jack Martin, a spokesman for KU, responded in this e-mail: “Like other universities, KU provides basketball tickets to legislators as part of our outreach to policymakers. Often these legislators sit with KU leaders and discuss issues important to the university during the game. These tickets are paid for by the Chancellor's Office using private funds. No tax or tuition dollars are used.”
