I saw where the convenience store that serves as the local Greyhound station has closed. Has the city lost its Greyhound service?

No, said Greyhound spokeswoman Maureen Richmond. She said the bus still stops at the closed convenience store at 2447 W. Sixth St. She said Greyhound is hopeful that the convenience store location will be bought soon, and that the new owner will agree to be a Greyhound agent. If that does not happen, Greyhound will look for another location to establish service in Lawrence. The closing of the convenience store does mean that there is not currently a location in Lawrence where tickets can be purchased for Greyhound. Richmond said tickets can be purchased online at
