How much money was made from the sales of the last three elementary schools that were closed: Centennial, East Heights and Grant?

“The Lawrence school district still owns Centennial School, home base for the Lawrence Virtual School, and East Heights, which houses an early-childhood education center. In 2003, the school board voted to convey the former Grant School building back to Grant Township for government and community uses,” said Julie Boyle, the school district’s communications director. “The consolidations of Centennial/Cordley and East Heights/New York and the closing of Riverside school saved $1,037,780 in operations and personnel costs. The Grant School closure resulted in $55,900 in savings,” Boyle said.
