Is there going to be a public Easter egg hunt in Lawrence?
Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will have two egg hunts for children interested in roving the land and water. The annual Underwater Eggstravaganza will begin at noon Saturday at Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive. The egg hunt will be at 12:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required by Thursday to secure a craft spot, or you can pay the $5 fee at the event to participate in the egg hunt and swimming only. The Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in South Park, 1141 Mass. The event is free and open to children ages 3 to 12. Children participating must check in prior to their search. Children may collect up to five eggs during the hunt. Registration is available online at lprd.org or at any parks and recreation facility.
