I see Route 9 in North Lawrence is closed for construction because of the turnpike and the road being damaged. Who's responsible for fixing the road after construction, the county, turnpike or who?

The road, which runs beneath the Kansas Turnpike from North Lawrence to U.S. Highway 24-40, will be closed for several more months as crews replace the turnpike's two Kansas River bridges, said Chuck Soules, director of public works for the city of Lawrence. Trucks associated with the project damaged the road, and the turnpike authority has committed to see that the road is returned to a good condition once work is complete, Soules said.
