Do students need to register to be able to participate in Kids Voting? What age can students vote and where can they cast their ballots?

Students do not need to register to be able to vote on Election Day. Teachers may have given registration forms to students in their classrooms as part of a lesson, but no registration is required. Just show up and vote. Any student who is not yet of legal voting age, from preschool through high school, can cast a ballot for Kids Voting; those not in high school must be accompanied by an adult who can help them sign in and receive their ballot. The Kids Voting sites will be open only before and after school, roughly 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and then again 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., when the polls close.
