How many registered voters are there in Kansas?

As of April 1, there were 1,644,614 registered voters in the state, according to the Kansas Secretary of State's office. Of that number 740,307 are registered Republican; 446,591, Democratic; and 447,300 are unaffiliated. The remaining are registered with various other parties.
