I was wondering if the KU football players or coach Mangino will be participating in the Title Town event on Friday morning?
While football head coach Mark Mangino will not attend Friday's taping of ESPN's "TitleTown USA" segment at Allen Fieldhouse, as the network weighs Lawrence among the country's best championship cities, a Kansas University athletics spokesman said several football players will join men's basketball head coach Bill Self and several members of the basketball team at the event. He could not say which players would attend. Joining Self and the players will be KU cheerleaders and mascots, as well as the trophies from the Orange Bowl and the NCAA basketball national championship. The public is invited to the event, which begins at 9 a.m.
