Where are the drop-off points for Cans for the Community?
There are eight aluminum can recycling drop-off bins for households and smaller businesses in Lawrence. They are: ¢ Checkers, 23rd and Louisiana streets. ¢ Hillcrest Shopping Center, Ninth and Iowa streets. ¢ Hy-Vee Food Stores, 4000 W. Sixth St. and 3504 Clinton Parkway. ¢ Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bob Billings Parkway and Iowa Street. ¢ Mass Beverage, 3131 Nieder Road, next to Target. ¢ Miller Mart, Wakarusa Drive and Clinton Parkway. ¢ Trinity Lutheran Church, 1245 N.H. Cans for the Community donates 100 percent of the proceeds to local nonprofit organizations. For more information, visit the Cans for the Community Web site.
