How does the Journal-World choose which photos will run in Friends and Neighbors?
Because of the volume of photos that are submitted to Friends and Neighbors, they cannot all run in the paper. Generally, photos that clearly show faces (not shots from far away) and have detailed caption information have the best chance of being considered for publication. Captions must include the names and hometowns of the subjects of the photo and the ages of children, and must identify the person submitting the photo and his or her relationship to the subjects. Also, we try not to run photos of the same person more than once every six months.
