Why are cars allowed to park on Lawrence Avenue, between Ninth and Harvard, in a posted bike route? Many of these cars had their driver's side mirrors broken because of the traffic.

A bicycle route doesn't necessarily prohibit parking. The only instance in which cars may not park along a bicycle route is if a bicycle lane is present, said David Woosley, a city traffic engineer. A bicycle lane reserves a portion of the street for bicycles only.
