If I mail a letter at the post office early in the morning, does it leave town earlier than if I mail it at 4 p.m., or does all outgoing mail get sent out at the same time?

Mail leaves the post office three times during the day, Lawrence Postmaster Judy Raney said. She said the earliest time is 3:45 p.m., followed by a 5:30 p.m. departure and a 6:30 p.m. departure.
