How many accidents have to happen at 23rd and Harper, by people turning in and out of QuikTrip by turning left before the city changes the entrance?

Each year, the city reviews accident data and generates a list of potential geometric improvement projects, a city spokeswoman said. The city also reviews issues with access during site plan reviews. City workers use the information to apply for safety funding from the Kansas Department of Transportation for improvements. The city spokeswoman pointed out that the QuikTrip, which is at 23rd Street and Haskell Avenue, also has access on Haskell Avenue that provides eastbound traffic on 23rd Street a protected left turn when trying to get to the business.
