LMH only appears to have typical childbirth, baby care or breast-feeding classes. I know all of that stuff. I’m looking for a neonatal resuscitation class or any neonatal emergency childbirth class that will tell me what steps to do in child care emergency situations.

Lawrence Memorial Hospital offers “CPR for Friends” and “Family and First Aid,” according to Melissa Hoffman, community education specialist. The CPR and first aid programs are recommended for all parents or caregivers who want to know what to do in the case of an emergency. The hospital also offers certification courses for Neonatal Resuscitation and Pediatric Advanced Life Support for hospital staff, but these programs are geared toward medical professionals. For more information about classes, call 749-5800 or visit lmh.org.
