At what age is a child required to get a fishing license, and where can they be picked up?

The minimum age for a fishing license in Kansas is 16. You have to have lived in the state for 60 days before buying a license. All nonresidents 16 and older must have a valid nonresident license to fish in Kansas (unless fishing on a private pond not leased for public fishing). Some sporting goods stores may sell fishing licenses, but they also can be obtained at the Douglas County Clerk's office on the first floor of the courthouse, 1100 Mass.
