Isn't there some sort of farm tour coming up? I remember going out to some farms last year and having a lot of fun.

You may be recalling the Kaw Valley Farm Tour, and you're right - it's coming up soon. The annual event, in its third year, is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 6 and 7. Attendants may tour up to 14 agricultural operations in the area. Products include nuts, fruits, wines, flowers, bison and wool products. Activities will include horse-drawn hay rides, opportunities to sample and purchase farm-fresh foods, wine tastings and pick-your-own pumpkin patches.
Cost is $10 for a tour pass, available from Community Mercantile Co-op, 901 Iowa; Lawrence Visitor Information Center, 402 N. Second St.; Douglas County office of K-State Research & Extension, 2110 Harper; the Downtown Lawrence Farmers Market; or from any participating operations during the event.
