When are the stripes going to be painted on the resurfaced area of U.S. Highway 59 south of Lawrence?

The newly resurfaced Highway 59 from the Franklin County line to the southern Lawrence city limits will be restriped sometime in the next week and a half, weather permitting, a spokesman for the Kansas Department of Transportation said. The highway has temporary markings, which will be removed when permanent striping is applied. The new striping should take two or three days to complete.
