I was wondering why the Lawrence school district does not require cooks in the district to wear hairnets.
Under the Kansas Food Code, the more than 100 cooks and servers at Lawrence public schools are required to wear some kind of hair restraints, said Paula Murrish, director of food services for the school district. Hats and visors, as well as hairnets, are considered to be hair restraints, she said.
