How does the budget just passed by the Legislature compare to ones over the past several years?
The budget passed by the Legislature on Wednesday would spend $12.5 billion for fiscal year 2008, which starts July 1.
Here are the previous five budgets, according to the Kansas Legislative Research Department: FY 2007 - $12.4 billion FY 2006 - $11.9 billion FY 2005 - $10.6 billion FY 2004 - $10.2 billion FY 2003 - $10.1 billion
