Is there a new law on the state books that requires drivers to use their headlights when they use their windshield wipers? If there is, it needs to be more widely publicized.

Kim Murphree, Lawrence police spokeswoman, said there is a new Kansas statute that requires vehicle lights to be on if the weather requires windshield wipers to be in use for a sustained period of time.
