Why do city police officers and animal control officers park and sit in their vehicles at 2000 Bluffs Drive? They are always up there at the north end of the third level.

According to Sgt. Paul Fellers of the Lawrence Police Department: Police officers write a number of reports on a daily basis. The vast majority of reports are written in patrol cars. Officers often park their car to write reports in central locations such as Sixth and Iowa streets - near the building at 2000 Bluffs Drive - in order to be more responsive to calls in their areas.
