I was wondering if you could find out what the fuel charge stands for on the Westar Energy bill. I use no natural fuel for my home and use propane.

Erin Dehn, spokeswoman for Westar Energy, said the fuel charge covers the cost of fuel that Westar uses to produce energy, and it has nothing to do with whether a person uses gas. She said the fuel charge varies month to month depending on what Westar may be using and the prices of fuel.
