Did Illinois University football coach Ron Zook play football at Kansas University, or did some of his relatives?
Ron Zook was defensive coordinator at KU under Mike Gottfried during the 1983 season. He is a native of Loudonville, Ohio, and played college football at Miami of Ohio. He is not related to the Zook brothers - John, Dean and Dale - who played for the Jayhawks. The Zook brothers are from Larned.
