Did Bob Dole and George Mitchell work on any projects together after they got out of the Senate?

Yes - at least two. The former Senate leaders helped launch the Bipartisan Policy Center in 2003. They also each spoke out in favor of an electronic network of data to help patients and doctors make better choices on treatment. Mitchell, a former Maine senator and Senate Democratic leader, has been in the news recently because of his report detailing steroid use in Major League Baseball. Dole is a former Kansas Senator and Republican leader.
